Paeonnia's roots grew out of my love for flowers. It's a play on the word "paeonia" which is a Chinese peony tree. My grandma Ellie lived on the edge of town and grew dozens of peony's of all kinds. The peonies we usually think of have double blooms, but she also grew the single bloom variety. My dad would pick them and bring an arrangement either to school or work. My other dad grew every kind of flower you could imagine. That love of flowers has been passed on to me and to my three daughters. As an artist I like to find ways to incorporate flowers into my art as well as into my candles. My dream is for my husband and I one day to own our own flower farm, with a cute little shop, and an old classic VW van converted into a mobile flower "truck". My husband has quite a green thumb too. I picture us side by side in our flower field with our grandchildren, sharing our dream with you.
